Alex Morgan is having a great summer. Not only did the star forward help lead the United States to a World Cup title in Canada, but she'll also join Lionel Messi on the U.S. cover of FIFA 16, becoming one of the first women to ever grace the cover.
She'll be one of three women to appear on regional covers of the game. Christine Sinclair will be featured on the cover in Canada alongside Messi, while Stephanie Catley will be on the Australia cover. Messi will have a spot on every regional cover, along with the worldwide cover.
This year's game from EA Sports will feature several women's national teams for the first time in the franchise's history. Germany, the United States, France, Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Spain, China, Italy and Mexico will all be playable teams, according to EASports.com.
Morgan will surely be one of the higher-ranked women in the game. While she was a bit rusty at times during this year's World Cup after returning from an injury spell, she is one of soccer's most prominent superstars and should be the focal point of the United States attack for the next decade.
In other words, this may not be her last FIFA cover.
